Patent Leather Care
What is Patent Leather?
Patent leather is made by coating real cow or goat leather with a transparent, high-shine finish.
This shiny coating helps improve the water-resistance qualities of leather shoes. Please note: Patent leather is not considered water-proof and it is best to avoid rain and puddles while wearing patent leather shoes.
How to Care for Patent Leather:
- Wipe dirt and moisture away with a microfiber cloth
- Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the patent coating
- Keep patent leather items away from direct heat sources, such as radiators or hairdryers
- Patent leather does not require conditioning like traditional leather, However, you can use a small amount of leather conditioner or patent leather cleaner on a soft cloth to add shine and moisture to the surface.
- Follow your desired leather conditioner instructions for use

How to Care for Velvet Shoes:
- Avoid getting your velvet shoes wet or wearing them in the rain
- Do not use water or any liquid cleaning products to clean your velvet shoes
- You can use a dry soft bristle brush to gently remove dirt and debris. A soft toothbrush is a great alternative if you don't have a shoe-cleaning brush suited for velvet.
